Pick eating is nothing new in the young generations. In fact, it is more common in developed countries than developing countries. While it is completely normal for your toddler to go through phases of picky eating throughout the first few years of their life, parents and educators should feel equipped with strategies to steer children in the direction of having diversity in their diet. And most importantly, we have to do this without losing our children's trust. How? Join this workshop to learn more.

In this workshop, we will guide you through research-based strategies on reversing picky-eating habits so you don't fall into the rabbit hole of only serving foods that your child would eat, or cooking back-up meals.
The learning objectives include:
A brief overview of the developmental food continuum
An introduction to Sequential Oral Sensory (S.O.S.) approach to feeding and picky eating
How to engage children in food exploration outside of meal time to break down barriers
How to avoid food jags (only eating one type of food)
How to identify when a child is not ready to engage in food exploration
Food tracking journals and meal planning strategies
Our workshops will always include printed resource for each participant and several audience engagement activities to ensure understanding.
Target audience: 10-20 parents and educators who currently serve children who may demonstrate picky eating habits (preferring different meals from rest of family, only eating less than 10 types of foods, emotional with new food introductions, parents struggling with cooking back-up meals)
Length of workshop: 2 hours
Format: online or in-person in the educational setting
